Hersden BMX Professionally built by Trax SN Jenks - BMX track specialists, (they built the awesome '96 worlds track at Brighton you know, seen here...) as a four man race track. Hersden/East Kent BMX also allow 24/26" bikes not only to be ridden, but also raced. Brother's in dirt unite! You'll find the track situated next to the youth club, on 'the avenue'. Sandy Lanes Located near the Shorncliffe (MOD) Camp, overlooking the Sandgate coastline. Sandy Lanes is not lacking in elevation. The main entrance/car park is found next to the military cemetary, but you'll need to follow the pathway past the 'Martello Tower' until you find the trails. One of the first features you'll see is a decent sized four pack from a fast drop in. Venture further into the wood and you'll find a fast paced network of trails getting steeper the further you go with a plethora of kickers, doubles and tabletops.
...ever seeking the perfect ride, we want to hear from you! If you know of the sickest downhill trail, some killer flowing dirt jump trails, or maybe the odd mountain bike friendly indoor skatepark for those dark winter evenings, this information should be shared. However, there are a few things to get straight here. These trails must be legal, we are'nt about to go upsetting any local riders by influencing large numbers of people to drop in on their trailspot's and we certainly don't want to get into a row with local authorities over land right's. So to be specific we're mainly talking organized club's here, or trails that have been granted approval by the appropriate authority. So if you have'nt been put off with all that red tape and you know of a rad legal trailspot (in the south east of course), email Stu with the details and we'll spread the word on this page. Photo's and Directions would help enormously... |
